Wedding FAQ

How much are your fees?

Answer : I list my base pricing right here on the website. Listed fees include associated mileage/travel time. You can see my fees HERE. Just scroll down the page and review which package suits your circumstances. There is a direct correlation between fees and the amount of time spent making your ceremony stellar. What about a rehearsal?

Answer : There are only three situations in which I attend wedding rehearsals.
1. You don’t have an event coordinator. In this case, as a certified wedding consultant, I will run the entire rehearsal for you! Contact me for a quote!
2. In cases where the ceremony is VERY complex, I may need to be at the rehearsal to help you sort out everything so that everyone involved feels comfortable with their role on your wedding day. As mentioned above, I am a certified wedding consultant, and have coordinated hundreds of events. Contact me for a quote!
3. It is going to make you feel better that I’m there! Contact me for a quote!

How many guests can I have?

Answer : You are welcome to have as many guests as you want. My experience is that the greater the number of guests, the more time I spend preparing a script that will rivet/maintain their attention. A quote is happily given after I fully understand the circumstances

Do you require premarital counseling?

Answer : No

How long do your ceremonies usually last?

Answer : The answer is “it depends”. I’ve done minimal ceremonies as short as 7 minutes and, in a church, as long as 45 minutes. The average is somewhere between 15-20 minutes. Want an hour-long service? I may ask your fiancé to sing, dance, yodel or all the above.
After giving you sage advice, the length of the ceremony is up to you! We’ll talk about what you want and don’t want in your wedding and we’ll collaborate to make it beautiful.

How many times do we meet?

Answer : As I am a destination wedding specialist, the initial meeting is usually a Skype or phone consultation. The second meeting, often in person, is for our ceremony planning session. Please also review “What about a rehearsal”?

How do payments work?

Answer : A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance is normally due 2 weeks prior to the wedding.

What about the marriage license?

Answer : I have, in the past, issued marriage licenses for a California County. I am beyond familiar with the rigors of “getting it right” and will guide you through the process of how to obtain your marriage license. It is the officiants responsibility to submit the signed/witnessed marriage certificate to the issuing county. As a notary public I can save you time and request that the clerk send you a certified copy of the recorded marriage certificate. Contact me for a service fee quote.

Do you stay for the reception?

Answer : I tend to leave you after the ceremony to celebrate with your loved ones while I go home to see mine. You might consider contributing to my “Weight Watchers” fund.
